Install Docker on Fedora 20
Following this article to instlla docker on Fedora 20.
- Docker requires a 64-bit installation, kernel must be 3.10 at minimum:
# uname -r
3.11.10-301.fc20.x86_64
- Configure yum repo
# cat /etc/yum.repos.d/docker-main.repo
[docker-main-repo]
name=Docker main Repository
baseurl=https://yum.dockerproject.org/repo/main/fedora/20
enabled=1
gpgcheck=1
gpgkey=https://yum.dockerproject.org/gpg
- Install the Docker package.
# yum install docker-engine
- Start Docker
# service docker start
- Verify docker is installed correctly
# docker run hello-world
Unable to find image 'hello-world:latest' locally
latest: Pulling from library/hello-world
